As you’ve probably figured out by now, Threadhead Records is NOT a traditional record company. Our financial support - which ultimately turns into dollars to help a musician get a CD produced - comes from you, the music fans. It is a direct, hands-on way for fans to financially help an artist produce his/her next CD.
There are two ways you can show your support. The first is by helping a specific musician’s project with a contribution or donation that can range from $5 to….well, there is no upper limit. Our top single contribution so far has been $5,000 but even $5, $10 and $20 contributions can help an artist’s fund grow. Once the project is finished, the goal is for all contributors to get paid back what they put in within one year of the date the CD is released to the public. However, because the return is tied to CD sales, there is no guarantee that all monies will be paid back. Rest assured that all contributions designated for a particular project go to the artist. You heard that right. Threadheads Records doesn’t keep a dime.

Please note: Contributions to a specific artist's project that are paid back are NOT tax deductible. When using PayPal, please email us separately with the artist's name, and whether this is an artist donation or a contribution (to be paid back). Also, the small fee that PayPal charges for each transaction will not be paid back to the donor or contributor.

The other way to support us and, in turn, the musicians is to donate to the general Threadhead Records fund. Any such dollars will go to pay our overhead (advertising, phone and postage expenses; bookkeeping, accounting and legal fees; website maintenance; and other general administrative costs). This will allow us to continue to support the musicians in the best way we can. You can make a general contribution to the Threadhead Records General Fund. |

Should you wish to send a check, please make it payable to Threadhead Records and note as to whether it is a general fund contribution or the particular artist fund to which it is to be applied. The mailing address can be found on the Contacts page.
Several times a year we will post a solicitation of funds for a particular project on this website. We will also let our general mailing list know of upcoming projects that require funding.
